From smuggling Bibles behind the Iron Curtain to openly sharing the gospel, for over 63 years, Mission Without Borders (MWB) and churches in Romania have firmly trusted in God to lead them through both safety and peril to ensure the gospel is spread and people’s lives are transformed.
Samuel, the church pastor in Simleul Silvaniei, said, “We’re extremely happy to partner with the Mission in the glorious vision of leading people to Christ and supporting them to know Christ more and overcome their circumstances.
“Prayers, volunteers, spiritual counseling, practical help, and infrastructure are some of the things we gladly share with the Mission. Summer camps, after-school programs, food parcels, clothing, school supplies, furniture, scholarships, birthday parties, special celebrations, self-sufficiency projects, love, dedication, and more – are things that the Mission blesses our communities with. Together, all of this changes lives.”
Working side by side with churches in sharing the gospel is a vital part of the way that Mission Without Borders works. Watch the compelling testimony below of pastor Timotei Stanea in Victoria, Romania, where after the fall of the Iron Curtain, he built a church from nothing in a city where atheism was deeply ingrained.
